CNYARA was founded in 2008 and is an IRS 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization serving the Mohawk Valley,Central New York and beyond.

Our mission is to expand the visibility of amateur radio through education, training, and fellowship and to use our capabilities for the public good. Whether you are a young student thinking about getting your license, or a long-time ham looking to put your talents to good use, we will be able to do more by working together. Take a look at what we do, join us at one of our monthly meetings, join us on our 2 meter "First Cup" net, Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays on N2CNY 145.210, then join us in membership and help us share the excitement of amateur radio with others. Congratulations Larry Fransman, Remsen, NY, The winner of the new Yaesu FT-60 handheld radio. Thanks goes out to everyone who donated to our repeater fund for a chance to win this great little radio, your donations are greatly appreciated & also a big thank you to all the folks who donated time and/or equipment to make this fund drive a huge success! We're close to our goal of getting the N2CNY 2m repeater system fully operational.
