Admission: $5.00 per person - this includes tailgate area.

The Central New York Amateur Radio Association will be hosting its first ARRL Sanctioned Hamfest on August 22, 2009 at the Deerfield Volunteer Firehouse, 5476 Trenton Road, Deerfield, New York, 13502.

The event is appropriately named the "Ham-Jam," and is an Amateur Radio/Radio/Electronics/Computer Expo & Flea Market and is located just minutes from; and less than a mile North of NYS Thruway Exit 31 (Utica).

The venue offers Thirteen (13) acres of Expo & Flea Market Field along with an open kitchen and indoor conference room.

In the spirit of promoting Amateur Radio throughout Central New York & beyond, all Amateur Radio Clubs are welcomed to send two members to set-up a table, promote your fundraisers, activities & organization to fellow Hams and the general public at no charge. Directions from Exit 31 (Utica,NY) NYS Thruway-EZ on/EZ off. Turn right onto North Genesee Street. Straight through both sets of lights and bear left at fork in road onto Trenton Road. Travel North on Trenton Road approximately 4/10ths (+/-) of a mile to Ham-Jam

KG2BV: Just returned from the Cortland Hamfest. Met many local Hams, and had a great time. Picked up a new keyer and I am ready for Field Day! Talked with Scott, W2LC WNY Section Manager, was good to see him.

KG2BV: Great Meeting & Great SKYWARN Training. We will be looking forward to the input of the ARES EC possibly at our July or August meetings. We will be taking sign-ups for the Advanced SKYWARN Soon in cooperation with ARES. Keep tuned to future updates.
